Construction Recycling
IWC has been providing consistent scrap metal recycling to construction projects in the Cayman Islands for over 20 years. Our services include hauling away metals to be recycled and exported from Grand Cayman, supporting sustainable practices within the construction industry.

As a partner of Island Recycling, we offer comprehensive non-ferrous recycling services to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection trades. Our network of recycling services ensures that your project stays in line with Cayman’s environmental goals, helping reduce waste and maximize resource recovery.
We also cater to commercial recycling needs, handling a wide variety of materials that construction sites often generate, such as glass bottles, aluminum cans, and other diverse waste streams.
Additionally, if your site can allocate an extra bin for separated lumber (at an additional charge), we can have it sent to Beacon Farms to be shredded and used in their mulch production. This helps further divert waste from landfills and supports sustainable recycling efforts in the Cayman Islands.
"Our goal is to provide the Cayman Islands’ construction sector with efficient, reliable recycling solutions, reducing waste and promoting sustainability across the islands."

Glass Recycling Partnership
IWC has partnered with the Flowers Block Factory to implement a glass recycling program that repurposes glass waste into construction materials. Collected glass is processed and utilized in the manufacturing of concrete blocks, promoting a circular economy and reducing the demand for virgin raw materials.
Benefits of Glass Recycling
Conserves Natural Resources
Recycling glass reduces the need for raw materials like sand, limestone, and soda ash.
Energy Efficiency
Producing new glass products from recycled glass consumes less energy compared to using virgin materials.
Reduces Environmental Impact
Glass recycling minimizes the volume of waste in landfills and decreases greenhouse gas emissions associated with glass production.
Metal Recycling with Island Recycling
Through our sister company, Island Recycling, IWC offers comprehensive metal recycling services, including the collection and processing of aluminum cans, non-ferrous scrap metal, and ferrous scrap metal. We accept a wide range of metal items, such as appliances, construction debris, electronic waste, and vehicles, ensuring responsible recycling and disposal.
Benefits of Metal Recycling:
Conserves Resources
Recycling metals reduces the need for mining and processing raw materials, conserving natural resources and reducing environmental degradation.
Energy Savings
Recycling metal saves significant energy; for example, recycling aluminum saves up to 95% of the energy required to produce the same amount from raw materials.
Economic Benefits
Metal recycling supports local economies by creating jobs in the recycling and manufacturing industries.
